Safety measures for the in-person conference event

The IFA is actively monitoring the developments surrounding COVID-19 as the safety of delegates, speakers, staff and volunteers is the highest priority.

At this time, the 15th Global Conference on Ageing “Rights Matter” is proceeding as a virtual and in-person event as planned. If anything changes, the IFA assures you immediate address and respond to the new situation.

The IFA will work closely with the conference venue to make this event as safe as possible following the mandatory safety and hygiene measures to provide delegates with an exceptional and clean experience.

In order to provide a safe environment for all in-person attendees, the IFA will take the following protection and prevention measures:
  • A health screening will be required for everyone prior entering to the venue
  • Delegates, speakers, staff and volunteers will be asked to wear a well-fitting mask that cover their nose and mouth indoors
  • Delegates, speakers, staff and volunteers will be asked to keep two metres/six feet of another individual who is not part of their household
  • Sitting arrangement will respect the physical distancing guidelines
  • Each day, before the conference starts, delegates will receive a notification confirming that each room and surface has been cleaned and properly prepared for the event
  • The IFA will have masks on-hand to provide to staff and attendees who do not bring their own
  • The IFA staff and volunteers will be ready to provide spray hand-sanitizer if needed
  • Surfaces and rooms will be cleaned and disinfected regularly for delegates protection
  • Hand-sanitizer dispensers will be available across the venue
  • Delegates staying at the Hilton Niagara Falls/Fallsview Hotel & Suites, will have the option of a contactless arrival experience where they can check-in, choose their room and access their room with a digital room key through the Hilton Honors mobile app

Current information and further measures will be announced in advance of the event.
